For Sale: 1953 GMC 100 in Fayetteville, Georgia

Vehicle Description

5-WINDOW, EASY SHOP TRUCK RESTORATION, MATCHING NUMBERS. These GMC trucks are rare. This truck just needs a few things to be back on the road, or a good candidate for a full restoration. Take a look at the pictures and details below:

Cosmetic

  • Paint/Body: Primer over the entire truck. Body is rough in places and there is some rust. I would not consider this truck a rust bucket, though. The cab is in good original condition with solid floor pans and cab corners.
  • Interior: All original and unmolested interior. Every piece is present.
  • Glass/Windows: Broken windshield, needs door glass. Corner windows are in good shape.
  • Trunk: No bed wood. rear of bed is rusty. 1 rusty spot on the frame behind the cab.
  • Undercarriage: Minimal rust underneath with a couple spots of rust to address.
  • Wheels/Tires: Original wheels and hubcaps. Old tires on the left, newer tires on the right.

Mechanical

  • Drivetrain: Original 235 cranks right up and runs strong, no smoke. Transmission shifts into all gears and clutch feels ok. Just needs a brake job and new tires to get her back on the road.
  • Lights/Electrical: Tail lights and brake lights work. Need to hook up headlights.
  • Brakes: Needs full brake job.

This would make an easy shop truck or rat rod project, or make it a full restoration. Call Erick at 678-908-6006
