Named after the International Race of Champions the 1985 (third
generation) Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z was made with a lower ride
height and upgraded suspensions compared to the Z28's. The IROC-Z
was rated on 1985's 10 Best List in Car and Drivers magazine, and
for good reason. The 305ci TBI LB9 motor was rated a 215hp, true
American muscle.
This IROC has what appears to be original white paint with little
wear, and goes well with the gold lettering. With only 77,000 miles
this car has the original 305ci motor, the largest offered. The car
shifts smoothly with a 4-speed automatic transmission with
overdrive. The 4-wheel power disc brakes allow for an all-around
fun drive with the glass T-top's removed on a nice day.
The car has a tan interior featuring bucket seats that are lettered
with "Camaro". The interior is in good condition with one wear spot
on the drivers side bolster. Features like power steering, air
conditioning, heat, power windows, cruise control, and an AM/FM
Radio add comfort to the car.
This car is a well-known blast to drive and is currently
undervalued for what it can do.
