Acquired by its current owners from the famed Jerry Capizzi Ford
collection in 2006, this stunning Thunderbird was at the time a
longtime California car that had recorded 38,000 actual miles and
had been a Classic Thunderbird Club International Gold winner in
1989.
The owners elected to have the car cosmetically restored, with a
beautiful finish and quality brightwork, and an excellent,
well-kept cream interior. Its dashboard incorporates the original
Town & Country radio, as well as a tasteful aftermarket air
conditioning system. Other accessories include an engine dress-up
kit for the 245-hp 'D-Code' V-8, Fordomatic transmission, power
steering and brakes, correct factory-style seatbelts, back-up
lights, reproduction Kelsey-Hayes wire wheels, factory fender
skirts, and both a soft top and removable "porthole" hardtop.
This is an excellent Thunderbird to drive and enjoy, as its current
owners have, or to display at local shows this summer.
