This is a 2 owner original rust free California car that
was built in Los Angeles, sold new at Stewart Chevrolet in San
Francisco, and lived it's life with the first owner in Sacramento.
We even have the original registration card showing the original
license plates from 1961, which are on the car. It was owned by the
original owner until October of 2010 when the second owner bought
it and started transforming it into his dream car which was a 1961
Impala SS with a 409 engine. That being said he also wanted it to
be user friendly so it could be driven daily if so desired. The car
as bought from the original owner was 100% original and in really
good condition considering it was 50 years old. The car was
repainted the original white since the original paint was showing
its age. The interior was all original but has since had the carpet
and seat covers replaced because they were starting to come apart.
All of the dash, interior paint, and headliner are still original
from 1961.
There are a lot of upgrades done on this car all documented with the receipts. All of the SS trim with the exception of the emblems is NOS Chevrolet parts sourced over months of searching. Other upgrades are as follows;

700R4 automatic transmission, 3.73 posi in "P" pumpkin, front power disc brakes, aluminum radiator with dual electric fans, Vintage Air Conditioning.
