Detailed information coming soon.ALL VEHICLES SOLD ' AS IS'Ford
introduced their post-war sedans in 1949. They were dubbed the
'shoebox' Fords and were the most modern looking vehicle produced
in the era. Our 1950 Deluxe Business Coupe was well- restored to
original appearance, but there are some serious upgrades to the
drivetrain with less than 1000 miles since restoration. Starting
with a straight and solid body, the owner applied a 2-stage Dupont
Majestic Black finish in 2017. The exterior is accented by 15"
steel wheels, new 225x70 white-wall radials and period-correct
'dog-dish' hubcaps. All chrome pieces are excellent, including the
signature 'bullet' grill. This Business Coupe is now powered by a
rebuilt Ford 429ci (385 Series) big-block that is backed by a
3-speed C-6 automatic transmission with column shifter. Everything
under the hood looks like a factory installation. The differential
is a 9" Ford unit that holds sensible street gearing and the
electrical system has been upgraded to an alternator-based 12-volt
setup. Four-wheel manual hydraulic drum brakes provide stopping
power. Finally, the interior was also restored to original
appearance with Grey/Tan cloth and a classic dashboard that looks
much like it did in 1950, including the AM radio - probably the
factory piece. This is solid retro-classic that is ready for next
summer's cruise-in. ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS
