the build. The engine features Ford Racing polished valve covers
and an Edelbrock carburetor. Other features consist of, Lokar
shifter, disc brakes, chrome front and rear bumpers, chrome front
grille, power rack and pinion steering, wood bed, chrome plated
Ridlar 18" wheels, tilt steering column, Lecarra leather steering
wheel, Champion radiator, and a new water pump and fuel pump. The
1932-1947 Ford pickups were considered pre-war and didn't change
much over the years. 1932 featured the first Flathead V8 offered in
a truck for Ford. In 1937 the V8 was downsized from 221c.i. to
136c.i. to help with the economy of the engine. Hydraulic brakes
were added and became standard in 1939. Originally the cars and
trucks created by Ford were distinct in their own designs as the
cars were created for more civilian tasks such as family oriented
errands and trips. The trucks were created with a more rugged
approach as they were generally used for farming, construction, and
military purposes. 1940 brought the two together a bit more as the
trucks had adopted a more family, casual, and everyday design. 1942
rolled around and Ford had to focus on military vehicles and trucks
were again delegated to work and the designs were simplified to do
so. In 1946 and 1947 Ford was able to put civilian vehicles back
into production and the trucks they created resembled the 1942
models. The new F-Series began in 1948 under Henry Ford's grandson,
Henry Ford II, thus ending the pre-war pickup. This truck resembles
that highly sought after body of pre-war nostalgia. With that,
upgrades have given this truck a new take on life and it is a show
stopper. The stunning Maroon paint shows the dramatic lines
perfectly and the chrome pops from under the hood and around the
front and back to bring some amazing contrast to this classic. The
inside is comfortable and ready for the road. Looking into the bed
of the truck, you will see a spectacularly finished base in a
beautiful wood finish contrasted with the maroon surroundings. For
