inch Inline 6 & 4 speed manual transmission Looking for a great
display piece, yard ornament, or an awesome project that's out of
the ordinary? MotoeXotica has the answer - this 1951 Studebaker
2R10 pickup! It has had the same owner for the past 54 years! This
Studebaker pickup is a ton model and is about as original as they
get. The engine is locked up, although the transmission does shift
through the gears. The body is all there, although rusty in some
spots, such as the bottoms of the doors. The glass, except for a
crack in the rear window, is all in tact as well. The bumpers are
somewhat bent, but the grille and tailgate are still in tact. The
headlights are still there and in decent condition as well. Inside,
the interior is fairly complete, missing the door card on the
driver's door. The floorboards are mostly intact, although still
show some rust. The gauges and other electric features have not
been tested. Under the hood is an inoperable but complete 170CI
Studebaker inline 6 with the 4 speed manual transmission behind it.
There is plenty of room for a V8 conversion if you're so inclined!
The Studebaker 2R series was first introduced for the 1949 model
year, in which the first generation ran until 1953, and was
Studebaker's second truck design after the 1940-1948 "M5". No body
panels were shared between the cars and trucks made by Studebaker.
