excellent restomod candidates and this one is no exception.
MotoeXotica Classic Cars is pleased to offer this 1939 Dodge
Business Coupe Restomod that was a recipient of an older frame off
restoration. Originally assembled at Chrysler's Evansville, Indiana
factory, this example is finished in a stunning custom yellow; the
paint and trim are in overall excellent condition. The six windows
are clear and crack-free while the custom headlights with embedded
parking lights and LED taillights are in great shape. The car's
body work is straight and solid, its bumpers look fantastic, the
engine bay is tidy and the trunk is in good order. The underside of
this hot rod is highly finished with lots of detail. This car rolls
on Uniroyal radials, size 205/70R15, surrounding five-spoke
American Racing wheels. The tires and wheels look great. Under that
vee-shaped hood is a 360 CID Mopar Performance V-8 breathing
through dual exhausts and is mated to a Torqueflite three-speed
automatic transmission. Driver convenience features include vintage
air-conditioning and power windows. Inside, the car has been
updated for the modern driver. The tan cloth and vinyl bucket seats
are in excellent shape, as is the matching tan carpet. The
headliner is in similar great condition. Gauges from Classic
Instruments replace the stock instruments within a yellow metal
instrument panel and a Lecarra three-spoke steering wheel mounted
on a 1970s-era GM column faces the driver and the inner door
panels, echoing the interior's general theme, continue the great
look. The mirror glass and shifter look very good and rounding out
the interior is a JVC AM/FM stereo with CD player. In 1937, Dodge
styling followed that of other Chrysler products. A new split
vertical grille offered chrome moldings running down the center,
paralleled by body-color panels. Bullet-shaped headlamps flanked
the grille and there were no longer any parts hidden in the fender
aprons; the horns moved to a location behind the grille. The
all-steel body had a chrome drip molding that extended its entire
length and exterior door handles curved inward for safety. Recessed
dash knobs and flush-mounted gauges continued the emphasis on
driver and passenger safety. Standard equipment included Autolite
ignition, hydraulic brakes, all-steel disc wheels, "No-Draft"
ventilation, reading lamps over rear windows instead of dome
lights, ventipane-type windows and 16-gallon fuel tanks. A new,
hypoid rear axle permitted a lower cargo floor as well as a lower
driveshaft tunnel. Competition to this Dodge in 1937 included
Chevrolet's Series GA and GB two-door coupe and Ford's two-door
coupe. This car is currently located at our facility in St. Louis,
Missouri. Current mileage on the odometer shows 22,609 miles not
actual. It is sold as is, where is, on a clean and clear, mileage
exempt title. GET OUT AND DRIVE!!! Click here to see our YouTube
