Delica is short for Delivery Car. This Mitsubishi Star van is a really cool ride, it genuinely feels like a mini Unimog with its short wheelbase, 4x4 with a two speed transfer case and enough room to fit over 7 adults! Please note that this vehicle is a right-hand-drive Japanese Market vehicle and is street legal in the United States and diesels that are pre-'97 -do not require smog in the state of California.. Finished in Kensington Gray over Ascot Silver, the wagon's paint and trim are in overall great condition but there are some blemishes are visible upon close inspection, especially at the left rear corner. The wagon's glass panels are clear and intact while its lights, including the pair of amber fog-lights in front, are in excellent order. The wagon's bodywork is straight and solid, the engine bay is tidy and the bumpers are in great condition. There are step-up bars for the driver and passengers. The undercarriage of this 4x4 rig is extremely tidy and really speaks volumes of the excellent overall condition of this particular Delica. This 4x4 wagon rolls on Yokohama Super Digger V tires, sized 215/80R15, surrounding vented alloy wheels and they are in satisfactory condition. Under the driver and front passenger seat is a mid-mounted 2.5L four-cylinder turbo diesel engine, mated to a four-speed automatic transmission and with low and high four-wheel drive. Driver convenience features include air-conditioning, power steering and front disc and rear drum brakes without power assist. Inside, the gray cloth front buckets, the second- and third-row bench seats are all in great shape. The outboard seat on the passenger side folds for access to the third-row. The matching carpet is in similar shape, as is the headliner. One unique feature is the Cool Box, which is mounted ahead of the transmission and transfer case shift levers. It uses the vehicle's engine heater and air-conditioning settings to heat or cool items within the box. There is a large sunroof over the second-row seat. The two-spoke steering wheel is in very good order, as are the inner door panels, center console, mirror glass and shift lever. Completing the interior is a factory AM/FM stereo with a cassette deck. In June 1986, the Delica underwent its third full model change. More aerodynamic than previous versions, its�monocoque�body and extensive safety features proved very popular in Japan's fast-growing recreational vehicle market segment. The more rounded design was referred to as "soft cube" styling by Mitsubishi. This car is currently located at our facility in St. Louis, Missouri.
