1967 VW Camper Bus!!
Groovy Blue and White Camper Bus!
1967 VW Kombi manufactured August 1966 for the 1967 production year
delivered to the Road Runner Camper Company of Concord California
for conversion and registration to a "campmobile" or
"house-car".
This is an ORIGINAL California vehicle with California black
license plates and the Road Runner Camper manufacturer and state of
California RV Plaques.
Exterior restoration by previous owner
Total mechanical restoration includes:
Brakes- New master cylinder, brake lines, new rebuilt wheel
cylinders, new shoes, new hardware.
Electrical- All electrical works excluding emergency flasher and
horn.
Transmission- New rebuilt transaxle and reduction boxes including
4.12 ring and pinion, hardened keys, welded third and fourth gears,
steel shift fork, super diff, and all German bearings.
Engine- New rebuilt including 1904 CC Stroker displacement with
90.5 pistons and barrels, crower cam, dual Kadron carburetors,
powder coated tin and heater boxes. This engine is strong and was
built for low end torque which is what is needed to move these
camper buses up hills at freeway speeds.
Interior- Restored with early Westie camper rear seat/fold down
bed, closet, and ice box. Fully insulated for heat and cold.
Restored front seats with grey salt and pepper seat covers as
original.
This camper is turn-key ready to enjoy for camping, the beach,
mountains and desert!! Runs great and strong, starts up first try
and is a blast to drive!!
