This 1965 Pontiac GTO will be at Barrett-Jackson Auctions June
23rd.
1965 Pontiac GTO the 1965 GTO was offered as an available option on
the Tempest Lemans. 1965 was the first year of the trademarked
stacked headlights and the powerful high output 389 cubic inch
motor which help separate this true muscle car from the pack.
This 1965 Pontiac GTO featured in its original color of Nightwatch
Blue with blue vinyl interior was the recipient of a full
restoration which has been well maintained and sparingly driven
since it was completed. This car is fully documented by the PHS
records.
This GTO has been upgraded with a turbo 350 automatic transmission
which adds performance, drivability and smooth shifting. The
addition of front power disc brakes with dual master cylinder
provide excellent stopping performance far better than factory
specifications. Combined with the factory power steering this car
is a pleasure to drive.
The upgraded period correct WS coded block with Tri-Power provides
all the torque and horsepower needed to impressively power this GTO
down the road.
This GTO has been well received as it was selected to be shown at
the New England International Auto Show being one of the five cars
in the featured "Muscle Car" display.
