1964 Chrysler Imperial
Vehicle Identification Number: 9243184212
This four door hardtop car was a one owner car until three years
ago, when the car was purchased from the original owners
widow. The car had always been garaged and when the
owner died in the 90's his widow refused to part with the car and
it was stored in a heated warehouse for over 20 years. This
car is in immaculate condition for something un-restored and 52
years old!
The body is mint condition with no rust damages. The car still has
the original floor mats and owners manual. The original
Rosewood paint is still good, though it has not been polished
for some time. When acquired, the carburetor was rebuilt
and engine wiring replaced. The push-button transmission is tight
and may have been replaced before storage. Inside is all perfect
and unmarred except for a small tear on top of driver's seat. While
the odometer reads more than 98,000 miles, the car runs
exceptionally well. Since acquired, the owner will only buy
non-ethanol gas and supplements it with lead additive. While the
car is not perfect, it is a well preserved example. The
driver's door latch assembly needs attention as does a rear window,
though all glass is perfect. All instruments on the dash
work. The owner does report that the front main bearing
gasket is in need of replacement.
Auction Estimate: $5000-8000
