Lot #698 - The name had its roots in a simple formula: 4-barrel,
4-speed, dual exhaust. As simple as it was, the 442 moniker became
the symbol of a most intimidating machine, the Oldsmobile 442 - but
few were as instantly intimidating as this 1969 442 convertible,
whose triple-black color scheme evokes a singularity of purpose
furthered by its blacked-out grille and chrome dual-exhaust
trumpets. This is a unique 442 convertible, thanks to its
combination of color, 4-speed manual transmission and factory air
conditioning. This genuine Code 344 442 is the culmination of an
excellent restoration to complete factory originality, including
its 400ci Rocket V8 engine, power steering, power brakes,
wood-grain sport steering wheel, bucket seats, console, power
