S.p.A., 20166 was one of only 21 Tipo 111 P250's constructed for
the U.S. market in order to comply with American regulations. In
2015, this particular car was acquired from its caretaker of 27
years in Pelham, NY after a decade of garage storage and then
brought to Texas. The Urraco then received a "Major Service" and
recommissioning of all systems, completed in January 2016. An
additional top-end rebuild was performed in October of that year.
Over $36,000 was spent in total, with supporting invoices
accompanying the P250. 20166 makes for an outstanding driver and
presents accordingly, with proper period attire. In July 2017, the
Lamborghini's entire braking system was restored to new by Karp's
Power Brake, along with a refreshening of all 5 original Campagnolo
7.5x14" wheels, mated to concours correct 205/70 Michelin XWX
tires.
The Bertone body number "580" is found stamped on both front and
rear bonnets which attest to the cars originality and completeness.
The cabin displays what appears to be original upholstery, while
the current recorded mileage of 36,800 is believed to be accurate.
A relatively modern radio head unit is currently installed in place
of the included period Blaupunkt. All trim, glass and ancillaries
remain correct and original to the Urraco. Several years ago, the
car received a repaint that continues to show very well. Both front
and rear compartments remain clean and orderly, as does the engine
bay with its gorgeously exposed airbox displayed front and center.
Complete with its original owner's manual and spare assembly.
This Urraco P250 is eager for touring, sprints or local display at
a moment's notice. The Lamborghini Urraco is often considered one
of the most striking mid-engined 2+2s ever produced, with few
remaining on the road today. We highly recommend this sorted and
very rare Tipo 111, now available for Worldwide purchase and
delivery.
