Vehicle Description
Beautifully built and awesomely powerful, this 1967 Chevrolet
Camaro SS tribute is the perfect mix of vintage appeal and custom
triple-deuce V8/five-speed power. It's an iconic first-generation
coupe with all the upgrades you love... and it's all for one of the
best prices you'll find for a first-year car.
This coupe really gives you the best of both worlds. It embraces
the clean lines that came on the inaugural year for this icon. In
fact, you can really tell there was time and care in keeping the
panels straight. A car that has such a cherry presentation needs a
cherry hue. That's why it's all wrapped professional application of
a modern bright red. Adding to the charm is a terrific white hood
stripe that coordinates with the white pinstripe. This line gives a
touch of Coca-Cola flare to the Camaro's legendary Coke-bottle
curves. But more than just look like a well preserved/restored '67
there are some hints at the upgrades within. The aggressive cowl
hood came from later in the generation, and the taller rear tires
on the iconic Rally wheels start to clue people in on the car's
secret.
The interior was changed from blue to a muscle car friendly black.
So not only do you get a much better complementing color to the
bold red exterior, it also feels far fresher than factory. Plus,
this one still retains plenty of that great vintage feeling, right
down to the trunk that has the proper space-saver spare and jack.
You get some nice upgrades like AM/FM/CD stereo and provisions for
air conditioning. But your favorite features will be what keeps
this a driver-focused classic. Your right hand will be instantly
attracted to the Hurst T-bar shifter. Your left one will love the
Grant GT sports steering wheel, and the first thing you'll notice
when looking through it is the AutoMeter tach added to the steering
column. Plus, more auxiliary readouts let your senses know there's
something special under the hood even before you twist the key and
hear it growl.
The slick black engine bay hides a performance powerhouse. Because
beneath the long air topper is a triple set of Rochester
dual-barrel carburetors. This rebuilt triple-deuce setup sits atop
a Fenton intake as they feed a 350 cubic-inch roller motor. This
performance V8 also been fortified with hypereutectic pistons, Comp
Cams 270H camshaft, roller tip rockers, and a Fluidyne three-row
aluminum radiator to keep it all cool. Best of all you have the
choice of letting the dual exhaust growl all the power or cruise in
overdrive comfort thanks to the upgrade to a Tremec 3550 five-speed
manual transmission. No matter if you want power take-offs or easy
handling, the Eaton Positraction rear end with versatile 3.55 gears
is a welcomed addition. And the upgrades don't end there. The
suspension features Detroit Speed upper control arms, Heidt
spindles with two-inch drop, Hotchkis sway bars, Unileaf lowering
springs in rear, and Cal Tracs traction bars. Add in power steering
and a four-wheel disc brake package, and this first-year icon is a
great any time driving choice.
This classic comes with a full history file for its three-owner
lifetime. This even includes the original warranty card, owner's
manual, service manuals, restoration photos, and every receipt for
maintenance from the last dozen years. So you are looking at a very
thoughtful build for a very reasonable price. So you also know a
deal like this will be moving out of the showroom quickly. Call
