Consigned to sell is this very rare 1976 Chevrolet 2500 6
passenger silverado Suburban 4X4 . This was purchased some years
back out of the dry climate of Central Oregon by a General motors
dealer principal with a love of the era of automobiles he grew up
in. Once purchased it was taken to the service department for some
modernizing enhancements such as a 4L60 freshly rebuilt four speed
automatic transmission , rebuilt 241C transfer-case and upgraded
with a late model steering column with tilt steering . Also done
was a long list of enhancements such as manual Warn hubs. The
interior looks like straight off the showroom floor with fresh dash
and all four door interior panels done in beryl wood . Among so
many freshly re done part include window cranks , head light bezels
nearly all new wiring ,lights ,markers , turn signal lights ,
shocks , mufflers , door rubber , window seals, three point
shoulder and lap safety belts .Upgraded Kenwood CD stereo with XM
and blue tooth capabilities . The original owner had always
complained of a mystery rattle in the cabin that nobody could find
and it was a constant irritation. It turned out when doing the
refurbish they found a tool from the assembly plant had been left
in the rear passenger door . The head liner along with the under
the hood insulation liner are new as well and with all this said
you will find driving this classic is quite and rattle free of the
normal loud cabins that most all these Suburbans were known to be.
Inside you will see the rear section is sealed with a bed liner
protective coating .
The paint is all factory original with the exception of the rear
doors that were changed to the barn door style. The only rust
issues is there is some minor blistering in the normal areas down
on the rocker panels behind the wheels and a small spot under the
driver side rear cargo area window. See pictures . The odometer
reads 4788 miles and it just turned over for the first time over
100 k miles only driven an average of twenty five hundred miles per

,shop manual and some 1976 sales Brochures from Chevrolet along
