Vehicle Description
Here is a really stunning looking Rolls-Royce Silver Spur finished
in 2-tone Georgian Silver over Masons Black with 2-tone black
Connolly hides with grey accent seat piping. The twin fine lines to
the waist-rails are hand-painted in black withy the reverse them on
the wheel beauty trims. The Rolls-Royce Silver Spur is 4" longer
than the standard Silver Spirit saloon, and were considerably more
expensive than its brother when new, providing considerable extra
rear leg room for rear seat passengers. The Silver Spur is powered
by a 6.75 litre Rolls-Royce designed V8 engine with the Bosch fuel
injecton system which provides ultra smooth idle and touring. The
1990 year for Rolls-Royce saw many pertinent design improvements.
The most notable being the transgression to Bosche electronics,
eliminating the problematic Lucas electrical ("Prince of Darkness")
system that plagued the earlier series. It also saw a completely
revised dash with updated AC system and modern alloy wheels with
stainless finishers. This car is known as the "30,000 series" to
identify these significant changes. This one is a low 42,000 mile
well maintained example with a good clean AutoCheck history (with a
score in the top 10%). Its a 2 owner car but the AutoCheck report
shows 3 because of a new title reissue. It has recently been thru
Park-Ward's workshop and anything requiring doing attended to
including all the hydraulics and braking system inspected and
overhauled as required (pumps, accumulators, gas springs, etc).
Mechanically, this car needs nothing. Under the bonnet, the
presentation is amazing. It has not been precision detailed but
simply kept clean and tidy throughout its life. Even more special
was that this car was ordered with video screens in the rear of the
front headrests. The body of the car is straight and the paint deep
in lustre and consistency. It does have a few minor little chips
and marks but these are few and only show if one looks hard.
Otherwise it is very shiny without any fading, dents or dings.
Rubbers, mouldings, badges and external fittings are all in good
condition. The vinyl top is original and presents in good un-faded
condition. The underside of the car is very clean and rust-free as
the car was never driven in winter weather (the low miles is a
testament to that). The interior on this car is really lovely. The
Connolly leather shows exquisitely and is entirely original. It has
never been re-dyed or messed with and yet presents beautifully
without any signs of wear and the leather soft and supple. The burl
walnut and mahogany wood throughout the car is original and
virtually perfect which is very rare to see. Even 2005+ cars show
signs of lacquer cracking and yet this car has none. This is a true
testament to a low mileage car that has been stored in-doors and
looked after. It has the optional rear seat picnic tables which are
equally perfect. Carpets, seats, dash, headlining and fixtures are
truly excellent and I best encourage you to look at all the photos
to fully appreciate how nicely the interior presents. As part of
Park-Ward's maintenance program, all major electricals and features
& functions are inspected so everything is to operate as it should;
windows, mirrors, A/C, heater, lights, wipers, etc. This is a true,
"take the keys and drive" example with no additional budget needed
to attend to any nuances or gremlins. The car is of very high
standard and is an easy 9 out of 10 driver rating. With the
exception of an updated stereo, she is 100% factory original in
specification in every respect.
