Vehicle Description
The Land Cruiser is Toyota's longest running series. It began in
1951 and is still made to this day. It has been produced in
convertible, hardtop, station wagon and utility truck versions and
is known worldwide for its reliability and longevity. The FJ60 was
produced from 1980 through 1990 for most worldwide markets. It
retained the rugged off-road characteristics of previous Cruisers
but was designed to better compete in the emerging sport utility
market making it a little more refined for urban driving.
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this excellent 1990 FJ62 Land
Cruiser for your consideration. Finished in a very traditional
Freeborn Red, the body of this truck is in excellent shape. A
southern truck, the body is straight and free of dents and the
paint is great apart from a few small stone chips here and there.
The chrome brightwork is presentable and the rubber and plastic
trim is surprisingly nice. Factory 15in steel wheels are chrome
plated and have newer Firestone tires mounted. There is a small
chip in the windshield, but the rest of the glass is excellent. The
interior is also in excellent condition. The dashboard is very
clean and crack free, the headliner is taunt and clean and the
seats are very nice. Just a little wear is present on the driver's
seat and all of the carpets and upholstery is very nice. This
example is well equipped and comes with factory A/C, factory
cassette stereo, telescoping aerial, power windows with auto driver
up/down, locks, and full instrumentation. It even has a service
manual.
With the stout 4.0L 3F-E electronic fuel injected inline 6 that
makes around 160hp and 230lb-ft of torque, this truck has just
enough power to satisfy. The 4-speed automatic is a smooth shifter
and is well geared, it goes hand in hand with the easy to use low
range transfer case. With solid mechanicals, these Land Cruisers
are known for their dependability. This is an excellent, good
driving example of a durable machine.
