1968 Dodge Dart GTS for sale. 383 4 BBL Carb. 727 Automatic with a shift kit. Positraction rear end with 3:55 gears. I have original sure grip 3:34 gears Sure Grip goes with the car. Original California car. Has been in Minnesota about 40 years and had 2 owners during this time. Car has one repaint in original JJ1 Gold. White tail stripe which is on fender tag. Interior Bucket seats and center console White seats and head liner. Gold carpet Car came from a Dodge dealer in Santa Monica 40 years ago. Registered on the Dodge Dart GTS registry. Only 2214 383GTS made in 1968. 1,114 were automatic. Balance were 4 spd cars.It has A/C. It does not work. I believe it needs O-Rings and hoses. Hoses are original and are very hard.
I have attached trim tag pictures and motor castings and stampings. Believed to be all numbers matching and original. The Engine has a casting date 10-23-67. On the bottom of block drivers side by the bell housing is a # stamped PT383S23008198. This number means Trenton Michigan plant. 383 S. 383 CU/in blocks S means Special. Should be same as Road runner motor with 440 heads. 2300 is the Julian date Tuesday November 14,1967. Trim tag is B20. Car was built Monday November 20 1967. Motor came from Trenton and Transmission Kokomo, MI, bolted together and hand stamped. VIN is 208966 last 6. Motor transmission are stamped on top by firewall 208066. What is the likely hood these 2 match and are incorrectly stamped? Most Mopar people believe it was stamped incorrectly at the factory. You be the judge.. Also have a set (4) Four Rally wheels and tires that go with this car. Part numbers on the rims are 3580058. They are like new.
