This 1948 Chevy Fleetmaster 2-door vehicle belonged to my dad who only owned it for only a few years. He drove it around town with his buddies to the "pig stand" and other diners that reminded them of their days. He passed away a few years ago and I really don't know that much about it. It's not my era. He put the car up on stands to do some brake work and then became ill. It sat in a garage for about 3 years on the jack stands. I had to move it outdoors a couple of years ago. I had a cover but it's deterioated and the car is exposed to the elements. It's beginning to get mild surface rust so I need to sell it before it gets worse. This car was drivable when he parked it. I have not been able to find the keys to start it periodically. The interior is pretty rough but can be restored by someone who is knowledgeable. The bumper is off but available. Not sure why he took it off. It has the original 6 cyl. engine. The odometer showes just over 50,000 miles. I live in Houston, TX. The car is located in Beaumont, TX. (about 90 miles). Will try to take some more pics. Have done a lot of research and determined this vehicle is somewhere between fair and good condition. Have seen restored models going for $25 - $35k. I'm asking $8000 but will listen to reasonable discussions if I'm off. I'm not trying to "dump" this as I know my dad is watching and he will be really pissed if I let his baby go too cheap. He would want it to go to someone who would fix her up and drive it.
