Hella headlights and VDO gauges Rejoice VW Fans, for another early
desirable 1950's Beetle has arrived at MotoeXotica Classic Cars and
is finished in handsome black exterior! This time, we are pleased
to present this 1958 Beetle, 60 years young! This is an original
California car that underwent a light cosmetic restoration to
preserve its originality. The car's handsome black paint and chrome
trim are in overall excellent condition but there may be a few
minor blemishes visible on close examination. This Bug's windows
are clear and crack-free while its Hella headlights and small
taillamps look fabulous. The car's bodywork is straight and solid,
the car's beautiful chrome bumpers fit well to the body, the engine
bay is quite tidy and the cargo area is clean and has a full-sized
spare tire and wheel. It rolls on Coker Classic wide whitewall
radials, size 165R15 at all four corners and each tire is wrapped
around original, full moon wheel covers. Under the rear-mounted
hood is the correct 1.2L flat four-cylinder engine #1-686207 mated
to a four-speed manual transmission. This Bug still maintains its
original six-volt electrical system. Inside, the gray front bucket
and rear bench seats are in great condition while the complementary
gray carpeting looks satisfactory. The gray headliner is in
excellent shape while the original two-spoke steering wheel is in
good condition. The inner door panels, complete with map pockets,
look very good while the black instrument panel is stunning and
contains VDO gauges. This is a radio delete model. For 1958, the
Beetle received a revised instrument panel, and a larger
rectangular rear window replaced the previous oval design. The
windshield grew larger and parking lights perched atop the front
fenders. Inside, a flat accelerator pedal replaced the previous
roller style pedal. The radio grille faced the driver and the
brakes grew wider. Competition to this Volkswagen in 1958 included
Nash's Metropolitan. This car is currently located at our facility
in St. Louis, Missouri. Current mileage on the odometer shows 60
miles. It is sold as is, where is, on a clean and clear, mileage
exempt Arizona title. GET OUT AND DRIVE!!! CLICK HERE TO VIEW OUR
