Vehicle Description
1953 Ford Customline finished in Cascadia Green with Green
interior. Odometer shows 8,713 miles. Powered by a 239c.i. L-Head
V8 producing 110hp and backed by a Column Shift 3-Speed Manual
Transmission. The 1953 Ford Customline was a carryover from the
redesigned models of 1952. In 1952 Ford had come out with a
completely new design one full year sooner than its rival
Chevrolet. The design was a more modern style with a wraparound
windshield, curved rear glass, and a modified grille. 1953 sported
the same design basics with a simpler grille. Overall, more
ornamentation was added to break-up the "shoebox" look of Ford's
slab side style from previous years. Ford created the Customline as
a mid-market entry-level automobile. It did well with having over 3
million Customline models leave the assembly line throughout all of
its production years. This beautiful example features; AM radio,
analog clock, heater, independent front suspension, 15" wheels,
original chrome hubcaps, aftermarket gauges under the dash, rebuilt
steering system, new wiring harness, new 6-volt charging and
starting system, new carpets and cloth seats, new clutch and
flywheel, resealed transmission, and rebuilt brakes. There is one
known documented owner from Fresno, CA between 1996 and 2016. This
car has amazing curb appeal. For more information on this gorgeous
