Vehicle Description
1959 Corvette Convertible Frost Blue with Silver Coves, Blue
Interior, and White Soft Top. Original 283/230hp with Matching
Numbers and 4 Speed Transmission. Options include Auxiliary Hard
Top, AM Radio, Courtesy Light, and proper Stainless Wheel Covers
with New American Classic 6.70-15 Wide Whitewall Tires. We
purchased this car out of sunny Arizona with the understanding that
it is a two owner car with one repaint back in the early 80's! The
story makes sense because we just replaced the original carpeting
that was all there but definitely showing its age. Purchased new
and owned until 2012 by a fighter pilot stationed at Vandenberg AFB
in California. Thankfully he saved several old registrations and
fuel receipts that prove residence in New Mexico, Utah and
California. The retired General at age 91 decided he would pass
"his baby" down to his son, but having owned several of them by
then and having a bad back, his son had already checked that box
and had old Corvettes out of his system. He told his best friend
from high school that the car was available and the remarkable one
owner Corvette soon found a new home. A very nice driving example,
this car proudly shows off a clean no-hit body and excellent gaps
all around. The paint has held up well and still looks great along
with all the chrome, stainless and trim. The beautiful color
combination, the fantastic story, the recent maintenance and
mechanical updates, this is a turn key sweetheart ready for summer!
