For Sale: 1972 Triumph TR6 in scottsdale, Arizona

Vehicle Description

1972 Triumph TR6. This TR6 has gone through a resortation in the past teen years which is evident while going over and doing a pretty thorough dissection of the car. The paint is in excellent shape and still very glossy so it was probably done around 8 years ago. The interior while still very nice and fresh looks to have been done close to ten years ago. The seats and center console lid and the wood dash and carpets are all still in great condition. The undercarriage is in remarkably good condition. Everything is fresh and obviously recently serviced. The bushing all look great too. I have included pictures so that you can see just how straight, dry and rust free the entire underneath is. This alone will set this car apart from many TR6 cars out there today. The soft top while in overall good shape does require a little attention. The material is nice and does not show any rips or holes but seems a little on the stiff/brittle side most likely due to lack of use(probably always down). It functions properly and does its job but it does take a little struggle to get there. The engine is really impressive. It starts right up first turn and accelerates down the road with zest and vigor, It is a blast to drive and it really turn those heads. This TR6 has a Turbo on it that gives it a little extra UMF. Overall the fit and finish of this car make it stand above most others out there that have had little or no restoration work. The work that has been put into this little guy has pushed past those''driver'' status cars and there for increases its value as well.In the truck there is the Soft top boot in which is in great shape, a Triumph embroidered leather bag with all kinds of stuff in it. I just went through it and found the usual treasure trove of a British car owner: Road Flares, Jumper cables,  small socket set. Full small set of meteric wrenches, some screw drivers, pliers, Leather gloves, an old tin box of bandaids(of coarse) set of belts, a jack, a tire iron, Fuses, couple of California maps inside of a Automobile Club of California folio along with road side assit docs, A Triumph Tr6 Service and Repair manual/Hand Book A LA 1976, a couple T6 scuttle grille vents, a new set of wiper blades a couple packages of Kleenex and his old Calfornia Plate reads 72 TRI 6. Also just found in a plastic bag the orginal owners and service manuals as well as a few service records and the orginal tin VIN/ Manufactures plate. Wis I had more of those but I think you already get the idea of the type of guy this was. This car was like an old freind and faithful campanion. This is the exact guy you want to buy one of these cars from. The only thing missing in that bag was the wood mallet!! HA! I welcome any one to come see or have this car inspected. It is exaclty what a Triumph enthusiat would want from their TR6.
