Up for sale is a fantastic running 1963 4 speed Spitfire. It sports its original 1147cc pushrod motor and this car runs beautifully in every way showing 62,523 miles. Painted wire wheels with chrome knockoffs look great and the spare is also on a fifth wire wheel. The tires are barely used and tread wear is minimal. The car idles smoothly and engine temps stay where they belong with a very capable cooling system. The car zips through the gears and the clutch feels great. The paint is driver quality...perhaps 5 on a scale of 10. All lights, switches, blower, heat, etc work as they should. The door cards are flat with no warping or crumpling as is so common, and the seats are great with no tears or cracking. The original banjo style steering wheel is present and in great shape. Window operation is smooth and no cracks in any glass. Bumpers are in very good condition and some light scratches suggest they might be original. The rare and expensive hard top comes with the car, and a new set of Union Jack ?? floor mats were just purchased.
