For Sale: 1949 Anglia Street Rod in Hiram, Georgia
The Ford Anglia was a make and model of compact cars built in
Britain and Australia. Some were imported into the U.S. at the
conclusion of WWII but stuttered in sales as due to its lack of
power and personnel capacity. The 60's saw many converted to
"Gassers" and soon they were sprinting down the 1/8 mile in an
assortment of configurations. This beauty was found in North
Georgia after spending most of its life in the dry area of Texas
from which it still carries a title. After more than two years of
meticulous restoration it is now being offered up for sale. Just 15
miles have passed beneath this beauty since its completion on Feb
9, 2018 and most of those miles being driven on and off a trailer.
It is carrying a Metallic Blackberry PPG Base coat clear coat paint
buffed to a shimmering gloss. It is powered by a GM L31-350 Vortex
Create engine with Comp Cam coupled to TH-350 transmission. Holly
750 4-BBL Carburetor, Headers with 3" exhaust piping, Four Corner
Coil-Over suspension on Martz Chassis and 4-Wheel Wilwood Disc
Brakes. It rolls along on 15" Craiger wheels with 12" Meats of
Mickey Thomson rubber tires. Creature features include Air
Conditioning and Heat, Sony Surround Sound Am/FM with Bluetooth,
VHX Gauges, Bucket Seat in real leather with Tilt/Telescopic
steering column topped with Redwood Steering Wheel. Look far and
wide and you'll not find a finer built or better running little
run-about than this wonderful Anglia. Owner seeks the fair price of
$125K. Car located in Rockmart, GA some 40 minutes west of Atlanta.
Inspections encouraged and welcomed by appointment only.
