introduced in 1961 based on a Ford body that was similar to that of
the Thunderbird but distinct enough that no one outside of the
plant making the car could tell it shared the Ford design, which
was a positive for Mercury. Overall the car shrunk in size compared
to previous model year Mercury's as the general public was looking
for smaller vehicles. 1963 came around and the car had undergone a
few more changes that prominently featured a new roofline and a
widely popular reverse slant window with a power option to move it
up or down. This example, being 1964, features a slightly different
front end but was mostly a carryover year from 1963.For more
