This is a very nice 1971 383 Automatic Plymouth Road Runner. Purchased from the original owner in 1993. Odometer is currently 204,043. The car has been kept in a garage since purchase. The engine block was manufactured in Aug 1970, the same year the car was assembled for the 1971 models and it appears to be original. The transmission number matches the VIN. Dual exhaust, fender/hood mounted turn signals, power brakes, power steering. The exterior is red and is in good condition. There is some rust and wear on the rocker panels (see photos). The trunk has some minor rust spots under the carpet. The shift console is in place, but not fastened. Speedometer, temperature, oil pressure, and tachometer gauges work. Fuel gauge stuck at quarter tank. Clock works sporadically. The interior bucket seats and rear seat upholstery have been replaced since purchase. The interior is white and in very good condition - no rips or tears in the upholstery. 15" wheels. The tires are fairly new BF Goodrich 235/60R15. The power windows, AM/FM radio, heater, cigarette lighter work. The horn works and makes the distinctive "Beep-Beep" sound for Plymouth Road Runners. The carburetor was rebuilt and the fuel system was flushed in November 2017. New battery installed in May 2018.
