Vehicle Description
Stk 2378 1966 Ford Fairlane
This handsome 1966 Ford Fairlane Coupe was meticulously restored in
2009 and has been garage kept by the current owner for the last 9
years. The '66 model of the mid-size Ford is widely considered to
be the best-looking Fairlane ever produced. Clean lines,
distinctive chrome and a little 'bulge' in the rear quarter panel
deliver a classic 'muscle' impact. This solid body was reshot in
2-stage Artic White - a high-quality professional job that is
virtually flawless. The chrome is excellent and period-correct 14"
Ford Magnum 500 spoke wheels mount BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. The
interior was fully restored. Bucket seats (from a Fairlane Sports
Coupe) have been reupholstered in black vinyl. Door panels,
headliner and carpeting are all in excellent niche. Features
include air conditioning, power steering, tinted glass and the
original AM radio. This 'C' code Fairlane came from the factory
with a 289/2V engine, but the owner states that this is not the
original motor. The current 289ci powerplant was totally rebuilt
and has a mild cam and Holley 600CFM carburetor. The motor sounds
great with a dual exhaust setup. Torque is delivered through a
stock converter to a rebuilt C-4 3-speed automatic transmission.
The differential is a standard unit (non-positraction) and brakes
are power-assisted 4-wheel drums. Look at the photos again - if you
want a solid, fun Blue Oval, this sharp Fairlane has your name on
it. ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS".
