The Vehicle Offered This 1936
Ford 317 pickup truck has been extensively modified into a custom
street rod that is finished to the highest possible standard with
no expense spared. Underneath the all-steel bodywork with
fibreglass rear fenders and running boards is a square-tube chassis
that has been fitted with an independent front coil spring
suspension from the Ford Mustang and traditional leaf springs at
the rear. A Ford 9-inch rear axle and power front disc brakes have
been installed along with power steering and a tilt wheel. The
powerplant is a new ‘350’ small-block Chevy unit with an Edelbrock
650 CFM carburettor, high-rise manifold, performance camshaft and
rams horn headers for the ultimate performance package. The
radiator has been fully upgraded and an electric fuel pump added
for reliable operation. The steel bed features aluminium and oak
floors with a heavy-duty trailer hitch and electric brake package
installed to make this a capable tow vehicle. Replete with
extensive chrome and polished aluminium trim, this is an
eye-catching truck that cannot be replicated for anywhere near the
estimated sale price.
