Freshly rebuilt from the ground up with only 200 miles on it, this
stunning GTO is ready to tear up the streets this summer! 1968 was
the very first year of the completely transformed second generation
GTO. This new generation was featured a semi-fastback roof line, an
endura front bumper, and overall a much more curvy body. This one
in particular has had a complete restoration that included tearing
down the 400 cubic inch V8 and rebuilding it back with a few minor
performance upgrades including an aluminum Edelbrock intake for
better flow and weight reduction. An electronic ignition was added
for better drivability and reliability. The TH400 transmission was
also rebuilt at the same time for crisp shifting and to handle the
rebuilt engine's power. The front suspension and steering
components were replaced at the same time providing a smooth ride
and absolute control on your cruise. As you slide behind the wood
grained steering wheel and turn the key, the exhaust lets out a low
bellow building the expectation for your drive. Drop it into gear
and lean on the throttle; the low bellow turns into a roar and you
cannot help, but grin! The sound is perfect for the looks and feel
of this classic GTO. If you are looking for a great fair weather
cruiser or something you can take down the road to the local car
show or drive in, this GTO would be an excellent option! This
vehicle is located in our Denver showroom. You can view this 1968
