Vehicle Description
First introduced in 1965, the W108 chassis was a large premium
sedan offered by the famous German manufacture. Offered in 250S,
250SE, 300SE, and later 280S, 280SE, and 300SE 6.3, these large
sedans offered the style and quality of a top end Mercedes while
providing the latest technology and design.
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this excellent car for your
consideration. Finished in classic Papyrus White, this car is
classy and eye catching. The body is very straight with no major
dents or imperfections. The chrome and rubber trim is fully intact
and in pretty good shape. Just a minor bit of pitting in some of
the chrome. Overall the car is excellent, but there is a little bit
of rust beginning to form on the edge of the hood and bottom of the
fenders. Steel wheels with color matched hubcaps are original and
look very cool. The interior is very nice as well. The black MBtex
faux leather is in excellent shape with no tears or stains. The
dash is excellent as well apart from a piece of wood trim at the
edge of the window that has begun to lose its veneer. The headliner
is in great shape as well. The car is equipped with power windows,
power locks, updated Sony stereo, and climate control.
Mechanically, this car is in great shape, the 2.8L straight 6cyl
runs very smoothly and has a decent amount of power. It was said
that it produced around 160hp and could hit a top speed of around
120mph. The 4 speed automatic was very advanced for its time and
still shifts smoothly today. Everything appears to be working as it
should and the car drives down the road very well.
