Gateway Classic Cars is proud to present this 1953 Ford Customline.
This vehicle is equipped with an all original cloth interior, am
radio, seatbelts, white wall tires, as well as being a numbers
matching vehicle "per owner statement". The beginning of this line
began in 1952, when the Ford Motor Company did a restructuring of
their all new vehicle line that began in 1949. The Customline was
the mid-level car, the peddles have now become suspended from below
the dash. A voltmeter, gas gauge, temp gauge, and oil pressure were
standard. The clock and radio were positioned in the center of the
dash, and the grille now sported a single center Bullet flanked by
vertical black stripes. The radio preset buttons were even preset
to local stations by your local ford dealer as a special yet
unusual service. This vehicle is equipped with the long lived and
famous Ford Flathead V8 coming in at 239 CID or 3.9L. This vehicle
has been well taken care of and started its life In Louisville,
Kentucky where it rolled off the assembly line on September 3,
1952. This car was restored in 2011, where it received full engine
and transmission rebuild. During the vehicles restoration it was
noted that the panels did not need to be replaced or patched so
underneath its gorgeous black paint are its original and untouched
panels. The all original interior compliments the exterior and
speaks highly to the care the vehicle has seen through out its
life. This car is not only breath taking, it is also a pleasure to
take our and cruise down the road to your local cruise in. This
