The Westfalia-Werke Van Conversion Company converted the Type 2 VW Vans in to these awesome campers. Volkswagen described the Campmobile as "having a cottage that goes anywhere you want to go". These icons are still nostalgic head turners today with a lot of fans whenever they head down the road or pull in to a campground.
This super clean 1978 VW Westfalia offered here has been the recipient of a high quality, selective style restoration and finished in its original color L63H Sage Green over complementing Camping Green and Yellow Plaid interior. Much of the vehicle remains original and untouched including the engine bay area and the clean, dry frame and underside. This Westy is outfitted with the Campmobile standard options including the 2 seat rear bench, rear upholstered cushion over the engine compartment, roof locker, 110 AC power, 3 shelve wardrobe, closet with mirror, icebox, kitchen unit with sink, water tank, spare wheel, crank out louvered side windows and swivel seat. The dash is very nice, the curtains are complete and the door panels excellent. Other highlights include JVC stereo, front table, rear table, kitchen, square "potty" for kids, front cavas bed and front curtains. The Westfalia pop up conversion is excellent in all aspects featuring excellent tenting, screens and functioning zippers. In full nighttime mode, it sleeps 4 comfortably. Mechanically, this Westy is powered by its 2.0 liter air cooled engine and 4 speed transmission. It is very fit, drives great and is ready to take you and a "friend" on a great adventure.
