Vehicle Description
We are pleased to offer this unusual and rare 1967 Plymouth
Belvedere II. This car is very original with all numbers matching
383ci V8, automatic 727 transmission, air conditioning, power
steering, standard brakes and Pearl white interior. The odometer
shows 8,600 miles and we believe it is original based on the
condition of the original parts from the car. We are not able to
certify or guarantee the mileage. This car even has the original
build sheets!
It was delivered new in Jacksonville Beach Florida in October 1966
and spent most of its life in North Carolina. 37 of those years was
spent in a hay barn covered up with a tarp. It was then sold to a
gentleman in Sunset beach, NC and he owned it for 2 years. He had
it stripped down to the metal and painted Sunset Orange Metallic
Pearl. Last year, the car was purchased by a restoration shop in
the local Savannah area and it was finished very nicely.
What makes this car unusual and rare is it has the Certificate card
with original owners name, 2 fender tags one of which states
"special handling car" (which was used on service cars, corporate
Cars, and special ordered Cars) and 3 build sheets (2 are near mint
condition). The restoration shop even found the original carpet tag
still on carpet! Only 5% of these cars built in 1967 had Air
Conditioning and the original color combination of light turquoise
exterior (KK1), Dark turquoise (L) and pearl white (H4P) makes it 1
of less than 10 built!
Some parts have been replaced due to wear and tear such as the
headliner, seat covers, carpet, steering wheel, fuel tank,
carburetor, fuel pump, exhaust and tips, washer fluid tank, and a
few other items. Most of the original parts that were replaced are
in a box that will go with the car. All the trim inside and out is
original including bumpers, mirrors, fender bullet turn light
indicators, grill, taillights, and the gas tank lid lock. We even
have the original hubcaps. Everything on this beauty works
including the original AM radio, trunk light, interior lights, and
exterior lights. The clock sometimes works. The wheels are 15"
period correct Keystone Classic's with almost new tires.
It still has all the original door panels and armrest with nearly
no wear, original rear ashtrays in the rear, minimal wear on the
brake pedal, and all exterior panels are original. Considering this
car has been off the roads and was stored for 40+ years, it's a
time capsule. The restoration shop has gone through the engine and
made sure it's in great condition. The points have been changed to
electronic ignition for optimal performance (original distributor
included). The transmission has been completely checked and a new
filter and fluid has been installed. It's first outing (2 hour
round trip) to a car show, it won Spectaculars Choice award! It's
not a concourse car but could be with a little work. Wouldn't be
afraid to drive this beauty anywhere. We will coordinate shipping
to your location. Please contact Savannah Classic Cars at
