Vehicle Description
Don't let the boxy, truck-like exterior fool you, this is a muscle
car underneath. With all the utility of a 1986 Chevrolet C10
pickup, it also includes a great-running small block, a sinister
black paint job, and a ton of luxury equipment that make this truck
an outstanding cruiser for the guy who has everything.
These trucks have become icons, having appeared in TV shows,
movies, and in our favorite car magazines for more than two
decades. And for good reason, because this is one heck of a
handsome truck, especially in Tuxedo Black. A clean southern truck,
there is absolutely no sign of major rust or rot anywhere, and the
bodywork is 100% steel save for the cowl-induction hood, which adds
an aggressive touch. The regular cab combined with the six-foot bed
makes it exactly the right size to have some fun; big enough to
work hard, but not a giant behemoth that needs two tugs and a
spotter to park. The five-year-old paint remains in very good
condition overall, with an authentic-looking shine that will win
fans at shows as onlookers reminisce about the one they used to own
that was just like it (only not as nice). All the Silverado trim
remains intact, including shiny chrome bumpers, the bright rub
strips along the sides of the body, and the stainless tailgate
insert. And in case you still want to do some work, there's a
drop-in bedliner out back so you don't have to worry about beating
it up if you put it to use.
The black interior is impressive, and someone has obviously spent
some money here recently. The original bench seat wears a cloth
that looks original, complete with pleats and vinyl binding around
the sides. Everything else is new, including the black carpets and
matching door panels, all of which are in excellent condition, and
you'll note power windows and locks are part of the package here.
Factory gauges are surprisingly complete and are housed in a
brushed-aluminum dash; no fake wood here. This truck also includes
factory A/C that blows ice cold, cruise control, a tilt wheel, and
a powerful AM/FM/CD stereo, so nobody can accuse it of going light
on comfort.
If you're expecting a 305 under the hood, you're going to be
pleasantly surprised by the 350 cubic inch Vortec crate motor
that's there now. With a big hit of low-end torque and a
wonderful-sounding exhaust note, this is a pickup with the heart of
a Camaro. It looks extremely clean and if I hadn't just told you
there was an upgrade you'd swear it was 100% stock, although
there's a Holley 4-barrel carburetor and a high-rise intake hiding
under stock air cleaner. Everything works as it should, including
the A/C, power steering and power brakes, and there are a lot of
new components throughout. The exhaust system has been upgraded
with a Flowmaster muffler that provides an awesome soundtrack, and
a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission makes this truck both quick
on the street and effortless on the highway. Dual gas tanks mean it
can drive cross-country, and it is fitted with brand new Torque
Thrust wheels and fat 31x10.50-15 Uniroyal radials
This is a very impressive truck, ready to drive daily or put away
as a fair weather hobby vehicle. Call today!
