The sixth generation of F-series trucks led way for more room,
bigger engines and more features. This series also tipped the
scales of putting Ford as the #1 selling truck of all time in
vehicle production. Offered here is the F250 High Boy that gave the
owner more payload, higher ground clearance and the long bed for
hauling anything and everything.
This nearly all original 1973 F 250 was purchased from the original
owner in Las Vegas. The truck was sold February 2, 1973. The truck
was built San Jose, and spent its whole life in Henderson, Nevada.
Only 888 of these trucks were produced with this paint code and
only 37 were built with this paint code and trim code
combination.
This truck features the Ranger XLT package, Ammeter and oil
pressure gauges, Dana 6CF front axle, slide out spare tire carrier,
power brakes, power steering, air conditioning, AM radio, sliding
rear window, tinted glass, super cooling radiator, dual travel fuel
tanks and one behind the seat, aftermarket Lucas fog lamps, gun
rack, brand new tires mounted on factory wheels, Frantz external
oil filter, and more. The 360 v8 runs well and has just been given
a tune up. The manual transmission functions as it should. When you
open the hood on the truck the light even the light works. The
truck even retains factory stampings and markings. Even the
stickers on the engine remain intact.
It is no secret that these Ford Pickups are on fire right now.
Fully restored examples are going for as much as 30 thousand these
days, any decent body shop can restore one but just how many remain
all original and especially in this condition with only one owner?
