For Sale: 1955 Chevrolet Apache in Houston, Texas

Vehicle Description

Now for sale in our Houston showroom is this one-of-a-kind 1955 Chevrolet Apache. This truck has had very extensive work done to it and is in extremely good condition. All the work has been performed by Ekstensive Metal Works. Ekstensive Metal Works is better known by their TV show name "Texas Metal", which airs on the Velocity channel. Under and through the hood of this super clean truck is a Weiand supercharged 502 CID V8 that runs just as well as it looks. Sending the power to the rear end is a Turbo-400 three-speed transmission. The rear end is a 9" ford that is finished in a gloss black paint. The hood cut-out provides room for the blower and intake to stick through and gives a "shaker hood" feel to the front of the truck. The massive blower provides an intoxicating whine even when sitting at idle and rivals the volume of the already loud exhaust system which features electric cutouts that dump at the headers. Feeding the gigantic 6-71 blower are two Holley four-barrel carburetors that ensure this beauty doesn't run out of fuel to burn when under full boost. The fuel is sent to the engine via a polished new fuel tank that enhances the underbody of the truck. Setting the stance of the truck are adjustable coil-over shocks. The truck sits atop polished alloy Intro brand wheels wrapped in Pirelli performance tires. The front tires are 265/30 ZR22 and the rears are 405/25 ZR24. To put the rear tire size into perspective, the widest tires on a production car are on a Lamborghini Aventador SV... and they're only 355mm wide. When it comes time to stop those massive tires, the driver will appreciate the drilled and slotted Willwood front and rear disc brakes with black painted calipers. Moving outward, the exterior of this truck is in near perfect condition. All the chrome is very nice and in like new condition. The Sierra Sand colored paint is in excellent shape with almost no blemishes or imperfections. The bed wood has been replaced and is in very good condition as well with a deep stain to accent the bed from the paint. Overall, the exterior of this truck is almost perfect. Moving inward, getting into the truck is made classy by the suicide doors. Upon entering the vehicle, the driver will be greeted by light tan leather throughout and a tilt steering wheel. The doors feature a simple, yet elegant stitching pattern that reminds the driver that they're in a very well-built resto-mod. The leather bucket seats are very comfortable and spacious. Sitting between the two seats is a leather wrapped center console that houses the shifter. The dash of the truck is paint matched to the body and is in just as good condition. This truck also features power brakes and steering for comfortable cruising. Tucked in the dash is a modern CD player/radio that adds to the modern comfort of this beauty. Overall, this is an extremely well-done truck and is probably one of the finest examples of a resto-mod Chevrolet Apache around.
