1966 Ford ThunderbirdThis Thunderbird is a southern car that
features a rare, optional Q-code, 428 ci Police Interceptor engine
with 345 hp factory engine from Ford.The engine is FE 345 HP that
was rebuilt earlier. The engine was completely resealed. The
original carburetor was replaced with an Edelbrock 1406 4-barrel
carburetor as well as replacing the flywheel and completely
rebuilding the C6 transmission and replaced all return
lines.Rebuilt power steering box and pump including replacing all
pressure lines and steering bushings. Upgraded transistorized
ignition system including spark plugs, wire set, wire looms and
clips, voltage regulator battery with disconnect, cables, starter
switch and solenoid. In 1966 only 1,500 performance Q-code T-Birds
were produced and only 900 T-Birds with factory installed a/c.This
T-Bird also has the optional posi traction rear axle assembly. The
car came with front disc brakes.rear shoes, hoses (front and rear),
lines, brake booster and master cylinder, rear brake cylinders
including axle seals and bearings were all replaced The car rolls
on 20-inch DAKAR chrome aluminum wheels with Kumho Escape sports
tires. The interior trim is black vinyl with front and rear arm
rests, swing-away steering wheel, factory air, new a/c fan blower
switch, new clutch and brush assembly, and radiator return lines
and converted to 134A.Exterior: Tuxedo BlackInterior: Black on
black vinyl Overhead safety panel warning lights, low fuel,
flasher, door ajar and seat belt. Other items include quartz clock,
courtesy lights, AM radio/Steriosonic tape system (not working)
with two speakers in each door, power vent windows, power windows
with new tinted glass, including the front windshield, 6-way power
seats, both driver's and passenger's side, extre cooling package,
sequential turn signals and remote control left exterior mirror.
