And is she a beautiful wild one with her gorgeous maroon coat and iconic white stripes.
The engine is a displacing 347 ci (4.030 bore, 3.400 stroke), 1968 Ford hi-po replacement block. Decked and align-honed with a 11.5:1 compression ratio.
For those of you who believe the devil is in the details, this engine has a Canton seven-quart oil pan, Melling high-volume oil pump, 3.400-inch stroke Eagle forged crankshaft, H-beam rods, hypereutectic pistons, Perfect Circle ring pack, Edelbrock Performer cylinder heads, ported and polished by hand. Camshaft is COMP hydraulic roller, 230/230 degrees duration at .050, .512/.512-inch lift, Cloyes double-roller timing gear. Valvetrain comprised of COMP pushrods, 2.02/1.60-inch valves, COMP roller rockers and Edelbrock valvesprings. Induction, Edelbrock Air Gap intake, Edelbrock Thunder Series 800-cfm carb, K&N air cleaner. Mallory Unilite ignition, 14 degrees initial timing.
To make her sound as good as she looks, the exhaust is Jet-Hot coated Hooker Super Comp, 1 3/4-inch primaries, 3-inch collectors, Flowmaster Thunder Series mufflers.
The drivetrain boasts a 1969 Ford Toploader four-speed transmission (2.32, 1.69, 1.29, 1.00:1) by Michael Carella, a Hurst Competition Plus shifter, and a Centerforce II flywheel/clutch assembly. The driveshaft is an Inland Empire aluminum, 4340 1350-series yokes. The rear axle is 1968 Ford 9-inch, TruTrac differential and 3.70:1 ring-and-pinion.
Mustangs are known to be fierce but this one is a sweet ride with stock hi-po disc brake spindles, stock control arms repositioned 1-inch lower, on frame, Eaton 1-inch lowering springs, Koni adjustable shock absorbers, ADDCO 1-inch diameter antisway bar, Flaming River 16:1 manual steering box, Total Control subframe connectors and polyurethane bushings throughout.
The rear suspension sports Eaton 1-inch lowering springs, Koni adjustable shocks and a Scott Drake 3/4-inch diameter antisway bar.
She stops as fast as she goes with stainless steel brakes 12-inch rotors, Kelsey-Hayes four-piston calipers, CNC billet dual master cylinder, braided steel lines, front; 10x2.5-inch drums, rear.
This Mustang’s been to the farrier and is shod with some beautiful Boyd Coddington Sting Ray 17x7, front; 17x8, rear and Kumho ECSTA 225/45ZR17, for the fronts and Kumho ECSTA 245/45ZR17, on the rear.
