1970 Buick GS455 Convertible
Radwan Classic Cars is is pleased to offer this amazing 1970 Buick GS Convertible. One of just 1,416 ever made. This is a numbers matching example and is finished in its original color combination. This was the most exciting year for Buick muscle cars. GM finally lifted the ban that intermediately sized cars cannot exceed 400ci's. Therefore, Buick stuffed a brand new 455ci in its newly restyled GS models.
The 455 spun a hotter cam with bigger valves and kept the functional hood scoops, sucking up plenty of cold air. The 455s were underrated at 350hp, but an astonishing 510 lb-ft of torque! A Stage 1 option was available with an even hotter cam, bigger valves, and a revised carburetor. Buick rated it at 360hp, but some experts believe that to be closer to 400hp. This particular example is a numbers matching vehicle finished in its original color combination of Titian Red with an Ivory interior and white convertible top. One of just 1,416 ever made! It has been comprehensivle and fully restored. It comes with an amazing amount of documentation including its original build sheet and sales invoices. It has a file full of receipts for the work performed on the car. It is a need nothing, show anywhere example. It is highly detailed and drives amazing. It features a full hotchkiss suspension kit for pro-tour stryle driving. Excellent ride quality and modern handling. It is extremely well equipped with the 455ci V8, TH-400 Automatic transmission, power steering, power disc brakes, power convertible top, hidden audio system, ice cold air-conditioning, and so much more.
