1930 Ford Model A Rumble Seat Coupe
Roadster
Fully restored by the previous owner in an attractive blue and
black livery, this exceptional 1930 Ford Model A Rumble Seat Coupe
Roadster benefits from a professionally rebuilt drivetrain. The
stock Model A engine block was sleeved and had shell bearings
installed in place of the original babbits. The rotating mass
(including the crankshaft and flywheel) was balanced and provided
with high-compression pistons, mild performance camshaft and a
high-compression Police specification cylinder head (B-insignia
casting) with stainless steel valves and hardened seats to allow
use of unleaded fuel. The original popout ignition remains in a nod
to period correct standards. Best of all, a Volvo overdrive,
high-speed differential and rebuilt shock absorbers have been
fitted, and turn signals added for safety. A luggage rack and rear
mounted spare complete the package. A truly exceptional classic,
this is a car to preserve and hand down to a future generation to
show the beauty of a true American classic.

The owner states:
"This is a 1930 Model A Roadster with a rumble seat, luggage rack
and rear mounted spare tire. I have been a member of a Model
A club in my home town for over 35 years. A few years ago,
one of my good friends, in the Model A Club, had just finished
restoring this car and got sick and thought he was going to
die. I have always liked the car and he wanted to sell
it. So, I bought it. It has a stock Model A block and
has been sleeved and bearings instead of babbits. It has a
balance crank shaft, high compression pistons and high compression
police head. It has a Volvo over-drive, turn signals,
slightly modified cam and a turned down and balanced fly
wheel. This is an excellent running car and very fast.
I never thought I would sell any of my cars, but it is getting to a
time in my life that I need to liquidate. This has been one
of the hardest things I have ever had to do in my life. It’s
time for someone else to be the caretaker of this beautiful
car."
