Vehicle Description
This is a great example of a low production car that has been fully
restored and maintained mechanically and cosmetically and driven
sparingly. Always garaged.. The car is registered and inspected in
the state of MA. The vehicle�??s maintenance, repair and upgrades
have been documented in a large file showing recent work done over
the last 30 years. The car virtually all original and has a large
amount of original and spare parts. The VIN/Serial number shows
this is a (F) Impala V8 (58) 1958 Model Year (T) Built in
Tarrytown, NY (247536) Sequential production number. Engine/Engine
Compartment: 283ci engine. The engine bay is in outstanding
condition and very original in appearance. All of the hoses,
connectors, and wiring are in fine condition. There are no signs of
any previous structural or major engine repairs. The inner fenders,
frame rails, firewall and the underside of the hood are all in
excellent condition. The preservation and maintenance history are
well documented and high quality. The factory labels, serial code
stampings and data plates are also in good condition.. The finish
on the engine block and all other components are excellent.
Chassis: This is an outstanding example in fine condition, original
in appearance and in fine condition. The suspension and braking
components are in excellent condition and good working order as is
the very clean dual exhaust system. The frame rails, floor pans and
drive train components are all exceptionally clean and free of
corrosion. The chrome bumpers both front and rear are in excellent
condition. The undercoating and rust proofing as well as the
attention to detail on the underside of the vehicle is indicative
of the entire vehicles restoration quality. The interior is in
excellent condition. The carpeting, seating surfaces, door/interior
panels, headliner and glass are all in excellent condition with no
signs of wear, no discoloration, and in like new condition. The red
color matched dash is in excellent condition as well as the gauge
faces, all trim and dash bezels, knobs and switches. All gauges and
controls are in working order and the steering wheel is in fine
condition with no signs of wear. The interior of the trunk is in
fine condition with a solid floor, clean trunk liner with no stains
or tears and the original, factory spare wheel. Exterior: The
exterior is in fine condition. The original color was repainted
during restoration within the last 10 years and is extremely shiny
and free of any major blemishes or corrosion. There are no visibly
obvious imperfections on and no signs of the previous body and
restoration work and there has been no collision repairs according
to records. The chrome trim is flawless, door handles, badges and
mirrors are in excellent condition with no signs of any wear or
corrosion and only one very minor ding on the RT fender trim. Panel
fit is excellent all around and the doors, trunk and hood are all
properly aligned and operate smoothly. This classic Impala was
restored from the ground up undercarriage is as nice as the
exterior and interior, no stone unturned in the restoration which
was meticulously done and and car well maintained over the year.
