For sale in our Nashville showroom is a 1972 Plymouth Duster. But
this is no ordinary Duster, oh no sir. This 1972 Duster for sale
has a 5.7-liter Hemi, fresh out of a late model pick up. Come on,
we have all thought about it, take a light classic car and stuff a
torque monster under the hood. With me, I always wanted (and still
do) to shoehorn a small block Chevy into an Opal GT. This guy
decided, what the heck!? And just did it. I can't imagine the
hurdles were easily over come and I am sure there were many, but
sitting between the from shock towers is a beautiful piece of late
model engine based on the classic idea of a hemispherical head and
I think it is fantastic! Using the spec's for a late model truck
you get 390 Horsepower and 407 Feet pounds of torque. Which is
slightly more than 245 Horsepower that would have come from the
factory with a 340 in 1972. Backing this modern marvel is the
transmission that the factory mated to the engine, a 4speed
automatic transmission. So, this combination will give you neck
snapping torque and highway speeds at just over idle rpm's. To give
you total control of the gears is a B&M ratchet shifter. This
wonder of old meets new is freshly painted a deep medium blue that
contrasts nicely against the black vinyl split bench seats that
features high backs and a pull down center arm rest. The car has
Hemi emblems of the front fenders and truck deck edge and just a
hint to the new owner, I would take them off! Make em wonder and
then make em pay! Options for this 1972 Plymouth Duster for sale
are: Vinyl interior, Kill switch, Posi trac, Radial tires with
raised white letters and rally wheels. For more information, please
