Vehicle Description
This bubbletop underwent a complete restoration in 2012. The body
and frame were stripped down to bare metal and the frame was
stiffened and braced. The Impala had virtually no rust before being
torn down. It is powered by a loaded 454ci big block Chevy backed
by a TH400 automatic transmission to get the power back to the
Chevy rear end outfitted with 3.73 gears. The front end uses
dropped spindles to get it down to pavement level coupled with air
ride shocks. It has an Air Ride system, disc brakes in the front
with upgraded disc brakes out back as well. It has a GM tilt
steering column topped with a stock wheel. The stock-appearing
interior has been re-stitched in two-tone sand and buff leather and
new carpeting in a German box weave. Modern appointments include
Vintage Air, Infinity stereo system, and aluminum dash insert,
which was outfitted with Mooneyes gauges. There is also a Moon tach
resting at the bottom of the dash just below the A-pillar.
