1977 Mercury Cougar Brougham 4 Door Pillared Hardtop !! It only has
85,550 ACTUAL ORIGINAL MILES SINCE THE CAR WAS BRAND NEW !! We
recently purchased this Cougar from the ORIGINAL 90 year old local
Idaho owner who bought it BRAND NEW in Santa Ana, California and as
you can tell in the pictures and video it was her pride and joy !!
It still retains it's correctly mounted - FACTORY ORIGINAL - dash
mounted VIN tag - FACTORY ORIGINAL - driver's door mounted data
sticker - ORIGINAL - trunk lid mounted jacking instruction sticker

several pictures. I drove this car for the last several days as my
daily driver and I assure you it runs and drives VERY WELL !! It is
a sweet driver in town and cruises down the freeway easily and
smoothly. If you can make it to Boise please come take a look at
and drive this BEAUTY for yourself, you won't be disappointed. This
is a QUALITY COUGAR THAT IS READY TO DRIVE, SHOW AND ENJOY !!
At the heart of this Cougar is what appears to be the STRONG -
FACTORY ORIGINAL - OPTIONAL - Code "H" - 351 CID "Windsor" V8 motor
that is running VERY well. The motor also sports the ORIGINAL
intake manifold, ORIGINAL exhaust manifolds, ORIGINAL valve covers,
ORIGINAL intake ducting and the ORIGINAL air cleaner housing, etc.
Sounds GREAT too with the factory style exhaust system. The engine
is backed by a SMOOTH - Code "W" - "Select-Shift" three speed
automatic transmission that also functions very well. The BEAUTIFUL
!! - ALL FACTORY ORIGINAL !! - Code "VR" - Medium Blue Cloth and
Vinyl luxury Brougham interior is in NICE condition including a
NICE ORIGINAL Medium Blue Cloth and Vinyl split front bench seat
with dual folding center armrests and factory headrests, VERY NICE
ORIGINAL Matching Medium Blue Vinyl and faux wood grain accented
door panels, Good ORIGINAL Medium Blue carpets (there is a hole in
the passenger rear footwell), VERY NICE ORIGINAL Mercury steering
wheel, VERY NICE ORIGINAL Medium Blue Vinyl headliner, VERY NICE
ORIGINAL Medium Blue Vinyl sun visors, VERY NICE ORIGINAL Factory
gauge clusters, VERY NICE ORIGINAL Medium Blue Cloth and Vinyl rear
bench seat and a VERY NICE ORIGINAL Medium Blue Vinyl dash pad with
NO CRACKS !! The ORIGINAL Dark Blue full vinyl top is also in VERY
NICE condition and looks NEW. All of the ORIGINAL black rubber
weatherstripping is still soft, supple and in good condition for
being original. The BEAUTIFUL - ALL FACTORY ORIGINAL - Code "3G" -
Bright Dark Blue Metallic exterior finish is EYE POPPING BEAUTIFUL
!! showing several large chips, scratches and imperfections that
have been touched up but still looks GREAT as you can clearly see
in the VIDEO & 100+ ADDITIONAL PICTURES !! This Cougar Brougham
comes nicely equipped including WORKING FACTORY AIR CONDITIONING
that blows COLD !!, factory power steering, factory power brakes
with discs up front, factory power door locks, factory power
windows, working factory cruise control, factory power wipers,
factory tilt steering column, working factory 6-way power
adjustable driver's seat, factory front and rear seat belts,
factory gauge clusters with 85 MPH speedometer and factory
tachometer, factory trip odometer, good heater and defroster,
working original "Aeronutronic" AM / FM stereo radio, original
clock which is no longer working, original day / night rear view
mirror, original dual chrome remote side view mirrors and factory
back up lights. This Cougar Brougham has GREAT looks and AWESOME
"Windsor" V8 power as well... what's not to like
?!
The suspension and drive line seem to be in good working order as
well as the electrical system. Check out the AWESOME - FACTORY
ORIGINAL - Mercury stainless steel wire wheel covers and GOOD steel
belted radial tires, they look OUTSTANDING on this Cougar Brougham
and really retains that CLEAN "Factory Original" - look !! All of
the ORIGINAL exterior body trim and moldings are in NICE condition
including VERY NICE ORIGINAL Badging, NICE ORIGINAL Chrome front
and rear bumpers and NICE ORIGINAL front grill and headlight
surrounds. The CLEAN - SOLID trunk also sports the ORIGINAL gray
liner, the ORIGINAL jack and lug wrench and a full size whitewall
spare tire. All of the ORIGINAL light lenses and reflectors are
also clear, bright and BEAUTIFUL !! I looked underneath and also
included photos below, again this has been a NICE - DRY - SOLID -
California - Idaho High Mountain Desert - western vehicle since NEW
and it shows !! In my opinion, you're not going to find much nicer
ORIGINAL floors than the one's on this BEAUTY !! Please pay close
