Convertible!! It only has 64,935 ACTUAL ORIGINAL MILES SINCE THE
CAR WAS BRAND NEW !! We recently purchased this Starfire from the
previous Idaho owner who is the fourth owner and as you can tell in
the pictures and video it was his pride and joy. It still retains
it's correctly mounted - FACTORY ORIGINAL - Oldsmobile cowl mounted
data plate - FACTORY ORIGINAL - driver's door pillar mounted VIN
tag - FACTORY ORIGINAL - trunk lid mounted jacking instruction
sticker - ORIGINAL - 1962 Oldsmobile owner's manual - ORIGINAL -
1962 Oldsmobile owner's protection plan and it's - ORIGINAL -
"Protect-O-Plate" warranty ID card, all of which are shown in
several pictures. This Starfire was bought BRAND NEW at Cole
Oldsmobile Co. in Nampa, Idaho on December 19,1962 and has been a
NICE - DRY - SOLID Idaho - High Mountain Desert western car since
NEW !! I drove this car for the last several weeks as my daily
driver and I assure you it runs and drives VERY WELL !! It is a
sweet driver in town and cruises down the freeway easily and
smoothly. If you can make it to Boise please come take a look at
and drive this BEAUTY for yourself, you won't be disappointed. This
is a QUALITY CLASSIC STARFIRE THAT IS READY TO DRIVE, SHOW AND
ENJOY !!
At the heart of this Starfire is what appears to be the VERY STRONG
- GROUND POUNDING - FACTORY ORIGINAL - Code "S" - 394 CID "Rocket"
V8 motor that is running VERY well. The motor also sports the
ORIGINAL 4 barrel intake manifold, ORIGINAL exhaust manifolds,
ORIGINAL valve covers, ORIGINAL 4 barrel Rochester carburetor and
the ORIGINAL "Starfire" scripted air cleaner housing, etc. Sounds
GREAT too with the factory style true dual exhaust system with dual
chrome tips. The engine is backed by a SMOOTH - Three speed
"Roto-Hydramatic" automatic transmission that also functions very
well. The BEAUTIFUL !! - MOSTLY ORIGINAL !! - Code "935" - Garnet
Red Vinyl bucket seat Starfire interior is in VERY NICE condition
including NICE Dark and Garnet Red Vinyl front bucket seats, NICE
ORIGINAL Dark Red carpets, NICE ORIGINAL Starfire steering wheel,
VERY NICE ORIGINAL Garnet Red and Aluminum center console, VERY
NICE ORIGINAL Matching Garnet Red Vinyl door panels, VERY NICE
ORIGINAL Factory Gauge clusters, VERY NICE Dark and Garnet Red
Vinyl rear bench seat, VERY NICE ORIGINAL Garnet Red Vinyl sun
visors, VERY NICE ORIGINAL Garnet Red and Chrome accented dash and
a VERY NICE Dark Red Vinyl dash pad with NO CRACKS !! The NEARLY
NEW White Vinyl convertible top is also in VERY NICE condition and
includes a NEW Dark Red Vinyl boot cover. The FACTORY ORIGINAL
Garnet Red Vinyl convertible top boot cover is also included. All
of the ORIGINAL black rubber weatherstripping is still soft, supple
and in GREAT condition for being original. The BEAUTIFUL - Code "L"
- Garnet Red Metallic exterior finish is EYE POPPING BEAUTIFUL !!
showing some very small chips and scratches that have been touched
up but still looks GORGEOUS as you can clearly see in the VIDEO &
100+ ADDITIONAL PICTURES !! This Starfire comes nicely equipped
including factory power steering, factory power brakes, working
factory power windows, factory front wing windows, factory power
wipers, factory 2-way power driver's seat which is no longer
working, factory front and rear seat belts, working factory "safety
sentinel" speed warning buzzer, good heater and defroster, original
clock which is no longer working, working original Oldsmobile
"Wonderbar" AM radio, factory gauge clusters with 120 MPH
speedometer, original day / night rear view mirror, working factory
power antenna, factory power convertible top, original chrome
driver's side view mirror and factory back up lights. This Starfire
Convertible has GORGEOUS looks and AWESOME "Rocket" V8 power as
well... what's not to like ?!
The suspension and drive line seem to be in good working order as
well as the electrical system. Check out the AWESOME - FACTORY
ORIGINAL - Starfire stainless steel wheel covers and NEARLY NEW
Hankook whitewall steel belted radial tires, they look OUTSTANDING
on this Starfire and really retains that CLEAN "Factory Original" -
look !! All of the ORIGINAL Chrome, Aluminum and Stainless Steel
exterior body trim and moldings are in VERY NICE condition
including VERY NICE ORIGINAL Badging, VERY NICE ORIGINAL Chrome
front bumper, NICE ORIGINAL Chrome rear bumper, NICE ORIGINAL
Aluminum body side moldings and VERY NICE ORIGINAL Chrome grill and
headlight surrounds. The CLEAN - SOLID trunk also sports the
ORIGINAL Garnet Red carpet liner, the ORIGINAL bias ply spare tire
and the ORIGINAL jack and lug wrench. All of the ORIGINAL light
lenses and reflectors are also clear, bright and BEAUTIFUL !! I
looked underneath and also included photos below, again this has
been a NICE - DRY - SOLID Idaho High Mountain Desert - western
vehicle since NEW and it shows !! In my opinion, you're not going
to find much nicer SOLID ORIGINAL floors than the one's on this
