1971 TRIUMPH TR6 - Frame off restored Many people talk about their
cars as having had a frame off restoration (even when sometimes
that is a physical impossibility, as on many cars, the frame cannot
be separated from the body). This however, is indisputably the case
with this amazing TR6, as you can see from the photos. Stripped of
every last nut and bolt, the body and frame were separated,
refurbished and then lovingly put back together (with more care
than was ever taken at the factory), using all new bushings, etc.
Additionally, traditionally weak parts of the original car, were
upgraded, including the substitution of twin downdraught Weber
carburettors, in place of the troublesome, factory Stromberg units
and cross drilled brake discs, for improved stopping. Having
covered just 8,000 miles since the restoration, it is still in
fabulous condition throughout and starts, runs & drives superbly,
with the factory overdrive unit functioning perfectly. This then,
is a rare opportunity to purchase a truly, fully restored TR6, at a
fraction of the cost of the parts & labour involved. Please call us
at Sportscar LA, should you have any questions. thank you.
