This is an amazing example of a restored to original 1960 250 GT PF Coupe. A true luxury sports car of its day. With less than 30 miles since its Concourse restoration, this could be the nicest example of its kind world wide. Odometer prior to restoration was 73,526. This 250 received a multi year restoration from some of the very best Ferrari restoration shops in North America. Dark Horse in Madison, New Jersey, Exotic Cars USA, from Milford New Jersey and Motion Products from Neenah, Wi were the primary contributors to the restoration process.
Historical Interest: After years of racing success, Enzo Ferrari sought to bring some financial stability to the automaker that bore his name. Enzo requested Pininfarina to design an elegant 250 GT Coupe to follow-up to the well-received 250 GT Boano and Ellena in the late 1950s. With its 1958 debut in Milan, the 250 GT Pininfarina Coupe was a grand touring car with a style that would be identified as the image of Ferrari for some years. Manufactured at Pininfarina’s Grugliasco plant they hand crafted a mere 335 from 1958 to 1960. Power was generated from the Colombo V-12, essentially, a detuned version of the race-winning V-12 Ferrari put in competition cars, with 240BHP sent to the rear wheels. It was among the fastest GT cars of its era, with 0-62 mph in less than seven seconds and top speed of 141mph.
