Gateway Classic Cars of Dallas is proud to offer a superb 1932 Ford
Model A "Type B" 3 Window Coupe. This killer build has been
assembled using the highest quality components and is essentially a
brand new '32 Ford with the benefits of a clean Texas title listed
as a "1932 Ford." This street rod is built on a Heidts chassis with
tubular front suspension with coil overs. The front end features
Wilwood disc brakes and manual rack and pinion steering. The rear
features a triangulated 4 link and coil overs as well. The rear end
is a Ford 9" from "The 9-inch Factory" with a 3.70 final drive
ratio. The body is a Gibbons fiberglass body with a 3" chop for an
aggressive look. She's coated in 1969 Pontiac Carousel Red which is
stunning. The doors open "suicide" style and even have power
windows. Climb inside this street beast and you'll find brown
leather upholstery with a bench seat, custom door panels, and a
beautifully detailed headliner. Simple instrumentation, a console
with backup camera, and square weave carpet complete the interior.
The beating heart of this beauty is a 355 CID Stroker Small Block
Chevy. The estimated horsepower is in the neighborhood of 450. It
is a 4 bolt main cast steel block with a steel crankshaft. It has
polished steel rods with cast 10.5:1 pistons. It has a roller valve
train and a Competition Thumper hydraulic roller camshaft with
.533/.519 inch lift and 299/319 degrees duration. She breathes
through aluminum heads and Sanderson headers on the exhaust side.
The intake is a Weiand tunnel ram with two 500 CFM Edelbrocks.
Behind this healthy 355 is a GM 700R4 Overdrive transmission with a
B&M QuickSilver Shifter. The entire build has just about 1,000
miles and is ready for the next car show or sunny day for a cruise.
